listen to that wild whisper...
I can help you listen to that wild whisper, that peculiar pulse, that holy yearning that lives inside you. Sessions with me are presence-centered; I let space and silence hold their own with the grace and magic of the relational field we co-create together. I meet you just where you are, without judgment and with open, compassionate curiosity.
I’ve been engaged in spiritual, psychological, and human development work for almost two decades. It sounds wild to say that! Since childhood, I have always been sensitive, creative, and curious, questioning everything. I have continuously deepened my study and practice with different branches of consciousness, including through the study of human psychology and development, along with indigenous practices, Buddhism, non-dual Śaiva Tantra, Taoism, Sufism, contemplative prayer, and meditation.
I began practicing yoga in 2007, shortly before my first visit to India, and I began teaching yoga and meditation in 2015. Over time, I moved more towards chant and mantra, and began teaching courses and workshops, collaborating in retreats and trainings, and leading chanting concerts at yoga festivals. After the pandemic, I began a slow shift towards quieter work, training in coaching and spiritual direction to increase my capacity and ability to be in deep, useful presence with others. Then I discovered Focusing (actually, it’s more like Focusing discovered me), and it felt like a piece I had only vaguely known was missing was suddenly put in place. For me, Focusing supports an experience at once intimate and ultimate: a feeling of coming home to myself, with fresh eyes and an open heart.
The work I do now also grew (and grows) out of a spiritual “situation” some years back that was part midlife reorganization, part psychospiritual emergence, and part…well, just life, happening. I knew that this thing I was undergoing, this unfolding, was much bigger than me. I knew it didn’t really have anything to do with me at all, except insofar as the experience of it seemed to be happening to and through me. There was something totally non-personal about it, at the same time that it was the most intensely personal thing imaginable.
This was not the first big psychospiritual upheaval I’d experienced, but somehow this time it seemed different in some way I couldn’t put my finger on. In all this unruly upheaval, in an effort to contextualize and better understand these changes, I began diving more into psychology and philosophy, both applied and theoretical: phenomenology, metaphysics, human development, philosophy of meaning, along with deep lineage literature and practice. I continue these and other studies to inform my life and my work.
I draw on many tools, methodologies, and ways of working, including non-directive coaching, spiritual companioning, philosophical inquiry, theological reflection, nonviolent communication, and human psychology. I also draw on teachings and practices from my years with different spiritual practices and traditions. I am an avid learner, and I hold deep love and a profound respect for inhabiting the implicit, letting life move through me, and becoming a stronger, clearer vessel. I’d love to support you in your journey, and help you find your greatest inner resource.
